Masoumeh Kermani

Masoumeh Kermani

ECE Teacher

Sister Masoumeh Kermani is a devoted Early Childhood Educator at Al-Mustafa School, bringing a unique blend of teaching expertise and technical skills to her role. She is ECE-certified and holds Infant Toddler certification, allowing her to integrate creativity and technology into early learning environments. Before joining Al-Mustafa School, she worked at Al-Mustafa Academy Childcare and CEFA Guildford, where she built a reputation for her dedication, warmth, and commitment to child development. Masoumeh fosters inclusive, engaging classrooms that support both academic growth and emotional well-being, making her a valued member of the school community.

Maryam Rizvi

JK Manager

Sister Maryam Rizvi serves as the Manager of Al-Mustafa Junior Kindergarten, bringing a strong foundation in early childhood education and Islamic studies. Born and raised in the holy city of Mashhad, she moved to Canada in 2006 and completed her high school in New Westminster, BC. She holds an ECCE certificate from Surrey College, an Associate Degree from Hawza Ilmiyya Qom, and a specialized Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care—focused on infants and toddlers ans Special Needs Education—from Northern Lights College.

With over a decade of experience in early learning environments including Al-Mustafa Academy Childcare, CEFA Guildford, and YMCA of Northern BC, Sister Maryam established and now leads the Junior Kindergarten program at Al-Mustafa School. Fluent in Farsi, Urdu, and English, she is passionate about fostering strong partnerships with families and creating a nurturing, nature-based, play-rich curriculum that supports each child’s holistic development. As a mother of four, she brings both professional expertise and heartfelt dedication to her role.

Farwa Naqvi

Sister Farwa Naqvi is an experienced Early Childhood Educator currently serving as the Junior Kindergarten Teacher at Al-Mustafa Academy. With over 10 years of experience in preschool education across both Islamic and non-Islamic settings, she brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and compassion to her role. She previously held positions as Director at Al-Mustafa Montessori Pre-School and Lead Teacher at Kinvig Learning Centre, and continues to contribute to faith-based education through volunteer teaching at Az-Zahraa Madrasah.

Sister Farwa holds a Master’s degree in Economics and a Bachelor’s in Education from a recognized university in Pakistan, along with her ECE certification obtained in Edmonton. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a safe, nurturing, and intellectually stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore, grow, and reach their full potential. As a lifelong learner and mother of four, she is deeply committed to fostering a love of learning and building strong foundations for young children.
