Grade K-1 EA

AaSalamu Alaikum. My name is Hadeel Alabkari, and I’ll be the KG/G1 Education Assistant for the upcoming school year! I look forward to welcoming all the new and returning students to Al-Mustafa School. I am also looking forward to meeting all the parents and working with them to guide our students through a successful school year insha Allah.

My teaching philosophy that guides me to help my students succeed in the classroom and beyond is that I truly believe that their success begins with making them genuinely feel accepted, included, and appreciated in the classroom. Thus, I start our school year with plenty of activities so everyone can get to know one another. I encourage them to share their questions and opinions in a safe and open environment.

About my education and work experience, I have a bachelor’s degree in health education from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia, a postgraduate diploma in Public Health from the University of Liverpool, and a Master of Education from Simon Fraser University. I worked for ten years as a Health Educator, through which I gained the expertise which enables me to assess learning needs, tailor my approach accordingly and attune to my students’ unique qualities.  Additionally, my background in health allows me to help students with some medical conditions to manage their conditions at schools.
